Coccydynia – orthopedist or pain management dr.?

I have had this for nearly 2 years. No falls or injuries, just sit a lot for my job. NSAIDs take the edge off sometimes. I have had a negative MRI. A pain management dr. gave me 2 coccygeal injections – the 1st gave temporary anesthetic relief, the 2nd gave none at all. Acupuncture was a waste of time as were visits to a chiropractor. My PCP suggested I just live with the pain. Sure…it’s not HIS butt! Should I see an orthopedist next or another pain management physician?

I was referred to a pain management doctor…?

Can they help figure out what is wrong with me? What do I need to expect? I have been in severe pain since January and my blood sugars are running high due to the pain. I have been to several doctors and nobody knows what is going on and I don’t know what else to do. Any advice or answers is greatly appreciated.

Pain management, problem or not?

Do you think we need a doctor that just does pain management or should your family doctor and back specialist or specialist in the aera your having pain be able to help you with pain. Should there be an added expence of going to a pain management specialist for your pain. In addition, do you believe that many family doctors and specialist use pain management doctors as an escape goat to not have to help you with pain. If you think there is a need for pain management doctors, please explain why?

pain management specialists?

i THINK i have fibro, researched it to death and i do have many of the symptoms, and i was reading that a lot of doctors feel thart fibro isnt real, and that prescribing medications can be a problem, others have mentioned to go see a pain management specialist who might be more helpful, does anybody have any idea how much something like that migght cost? im worried its going to be too expensive

I had open heart surgery and now I have a scar under my right breast that hurts alot, pain management?

the scar itself hurts alot, I know its probably tight and everything but it will be a year in August, and I just dont understand how it could still hurt this much after all that time. My cardiologist and my cardiothorasic surgeon are both not worried about it and chalk it up to the healing process. I still cant wear a bra for more than a few minutes without it feeling painful and I dont know what to do about it anymore. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
